Team Grenadier strengthens MoD bid
Team Grenadier, the UK industrial consortium built around the INEOS Grenadier 4X4, has strengthened its bid for the Ministry of Defence’s Light Mobility Vehicle (LMV) programme with the addition of Hobson Industries and TVS Supply Chain Solutions.
The new partners join INEOS Automotive, SMT Defence, and NMS UK. Together, they deepen the consortium’s ability to keep vehicles mission-ready throughout their service life, covering in-service vehicle management, maintenance, reconditioning, parts management, and global supply chain support.
Hobson Industries brings more than 40 years’ experience as a first-tier supplier on defence programmes, including work for the Ministry of Defence, with specialist expertise in vehicle reconditioning, fleet renovation, and end-of-life support. TVS Supply Chain Solutions adds decades of parts and logistics experience across defence organisations worldwide.
Team Grenadier is offering the Grenadier platform as a modular answer to the MoD’s LMV requirements: a proven production 4X4 with a strong steel ladder frame, solid beam axles, and an award winning powertrain, combined with special-operations and systems-integration expertise from the consortium.
Militarised Grenadier variants are being demonstrated at DVD2026 at UTAC Millbrook on 16–17 September 2026. Visitors can see the Enhanced Protection Vehicle (EPV) on the NMS stand, and the General-Purpose Vehicle (GPV) and Multi-Role Light Vehicle (MRLV) on the Hobson stand, with passenger rides available in the GPV in the Dynamic Area.
The Grenadier MRLV is one of nine modular LMV applications based on the same robust architecture that underpins the series-production Grenadier. Beyond more than 36,000 retail customers worldwide, the vehicle is already proven with emergency services and border-force operations across Europe, and has secured significant contracts with military organisations, including the Italian Military.
